Israel's a rogue terror state. It's been so from inception. Its leaders' hands are blood-drenched. They're responsible for decades of high crimes.
On January 22, Israelis voted. Results hardened fascist rule. Dominant right-wing parties control 102 of 120 Knesset seats. Israelis have themselves to blame. They elected their most extremist government in history. Belligerence, state-sponsored terrorism, militarized occupation, racist persecution, settlement expansions, and neoliberal harshness reflect official policy.

Former cardinal of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, was yesterday installed as the new head of the Catholic Church...Within Latin America, the Church has long worked hand in hand with the most reactionary political forces, in league with US imperialism, against left-wing movements of the working class and oppressed peasantry...“History condemns him...It shows him to be opposed to all innovation in the church and above all, during the dictatorship, it shows he was very cosy with the military.”

While I have been imprisoned at the CNCC, every attempt that I have made to act against the deteriorating conditions in the prison, though mostly in accordance with authorized structural mechanisms, has not only been negated or dismissed but also at times criminalized. This very much parallels some of my pre-imprisonment organizing experiences as well, where sometimes those efforts most in accordance with so-called “proper channels” were often those most targeted by authorities for criminalization.
The fact is that rape culture...[is] a part of sports. Far too many athletes feel far too empowered to see women as the spoils of jock culture. The young woman in Steubenville was carried like a piece of meat, with the brutality documented like it was spring break in Daytona Beach. It was so normalized that dozens of people saw what was happening and did nothing.
Big Lies launch wars. Waging them on terror doesn't wash. Nor does doing so on people, groups, or those harboring them. Nothing in international or constitutional law permits it.

Police arrested 46 protestors on Wednesday, during the third night of demonstrations in Brooklyn over the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Kimani Gray...“The police – whenever they murder or kill a black or Latino youth – it is always justifiable homicide. The witnesses tell a different story, and this happens again and again...”

Over the past thirty years, Human Rights Watch has become one of the most recognized non-governmental organizations in the world due to its global promotion of human rights. But despite its claims to be an advocate of international human rights law, the reports issued by Human Rights Watch over the past decade have increasingly exhibited a bias towards certain rights over others...As a result, it routinely judges nations throughout the world in a manner that furthers capitalist values and discredits governments seeking socialist alternatives.
Straightaway as president, Obama pledged to close Guantanamo. He lied. He's a serial liar. It's still open. The worst of Bush administration practices continue. Appalling human rights abuses persist. Torture remains policy. It's institutionalized throughout Washington's gulag. Obama bears full responsibility.

Today's "message" of grotesque inequality, social injustice and war is the propaganda of liberal democracies. By any measure of human behavior, this is extremism. When Hugo Chavez challenged it, he was abused in bad faith; and his successor will be subverted by the same zealots of the American Enterprise Institute, Harvard's Kennedy School and the "human rights" organizations that have appropriated American liberalism and underpin its propaganda.
Chavez knew he was marked for death. He said so numerous times. Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez believes Washington and Israel conspired to kill him.

Labour’s One Nation rhetoric and promulgation of filthy anti-immigrant policies has escalated in line with the deepening crisis of British capitalism...Evocations of “One Nation” Britain are Labour’s latest and more comprehensive offering to the ruling elite...of a means to divide workers in the UK from their class brothers and sisters in Europe and internationally in order to better carry out the destruction of jobs, wages and conditions.
She's one of America's most powerful women. For sure she's one of the richest. Forbes estimates she's worth $1.85 billion. She's also heir to the Hyatt Hotels and Pritzker family fortune. It's net worth exceeds $20 billion. Some think it's much more.

Dr. Jon W. Draud...pursues some eclectic passions. He’s bred sleek Basenji hunting dogs for show...But the Nashville psychiatrist is also notable for a professional pursuit: During the last four years, the 47-year-old Draud has earned more than $1 million for delivering promotional talks and consulting for seven drug companies...21 other doctors have made more than $500,000 since 2009 giving talks and consulting for drug-makers...And half of the top earners are from a single specialty: psychiatry.
Decades of class war leaves most Americans nearing retirement woefully unprepared.

What actually appears to have infuriated the western establishment was Chavez’s audacity in challenging...western dominance of the world economy....Chavez championed the rising up of the Third World, and did it with flair and verve...leaving the dull grey suits in the West all the more resentful.
Most of the mainstream media articles refer to Christie as a ‘controversial lawyer‘ and some even refer to him as a ‘defender of free speech,’ saying he defended holocaust deniers and anti-semites. I find this toned down revision as sickening as the historical revisionists he defended. Doug Christie was one of this colonial nation state’s most well notorious racists It only seems fitting that Christie died of terminal cancer, since he himself was a cancerous creep, and an important player in an even more sick movement.

Attempts by New Democracy (ND), Greece’s largest ruling party, to appeal to the fascist Golden Dawn vote...are a clear warning to the working class...These moves are part of a broad campaign by the Greek ruling class to integrate Golden Dawn into official politics. The party...has been systematically built up in recent years. Financed by influential sections of the Greek bourgeoisie and supported by the police, it is currently polling up to 14 percent.
No country imprisons more journalists than Turkey. Ragip Zarakolu understands well. He's a prominent human rights activist/publisher. He's a former Nobel Peace Prize nominee. He's been maliciously targeted for years.

The death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez will mean unseemly celebration on the right and unending debate on the left...Less discussed will be that the passing of Hugo Chávez will also provoke unbridled joy in the corridors of power of Major League Baseball...Venezuela has trailed only the Dominican Republic in the global race to provide a cheap source of Major League Baseball talent. In 2012, fifty-eight players on MLB rosters were born in Venezuela, second only to the DR’s sixty-four.
