This is a great zine that delves into all sorts of topics relating to activism and mental health (and, in particular, burnout). The central inquiry (serving as a sort of second subtitle) is "What sustains us? What stops us?" This is an exploration of how to make our movements sustainable in the long term, and how to take care of ourselves as we immerse ourselves in fighting the worst horrors that the world has to offer. Among the complicated emotions discussed are grief, despair, hope, and denial. The author engages with these themes through her own writing, through some of the thoughts of folks like Derrick Jensen and Joanna Macy, and through the lens of ecopsychology.
