affective disorder - journal of common notions - spring 10

no revolution is going to be generated
out of systemic
or structural laws.
we are on our own, and what we do
we have to do for ourselves.
we are the denizens
of a strange epoch,
the ‘given’ in a surreal situation.
while knowledge of space and time has been democratized, the
modes of inhabiting them (the modes of being) are controlled
more intensely than ever before. while sharing of information
is ubiquitous, understanding and love appear empty at best – at read more »

Theory of Bloom, The (Tiqqun)
Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 02/25/2010 - 02:37.Here it is, the first (known) English translation of the Theory of Bloom. All apologies for the previous confusion, this is the new-and-improved version with fewer typos/awkward wordings and an extended appendix to facilitate your reading experience. Note: The Theory of Bloom is by Tiqqun, who also put out The Coming Insurrection. This theory is useful reading for the complete understanding of the concepts therein. The Appendix is intended to make your life easier, its use is highly recommended. This is a labor of love.

Blockage: Occupied Joy
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 02/12/2010 - 15:50.NOW WE HAVE TO BEGIN
There is the head.
But, more so, there is the heart.
Then there is the body that we physically inhabit, that we possess (or posseses us?), that we feel through, that contains the brain and the heart and the lifeblood.
And there are our senses. We are sensual because the world is sensuous. The world is tactile. To live, to be alive is tangible, is a possibility, is something that is always open to risk and rebellion. read more »
